Bjarke Falgren

Playing music for people is my way of being with and meeting new people. I love picking up friends and strangers in my turquoise vintage car, driving into the horizons and connecting in music. I play a 300 year old gypsy-violin given to me by a stranger. I have spent more than twenty years finding the common denominator between whoever is in the room. My sound sits somewhere between Svend Asmussen, Miles Davis and Pat Metheny's most open melodic moments, unhurried, tactile, warm in the way old things are warm. People who don’t normally hear jazz or violin music, tell me there are room for them in my music. My music does not ask for your attention. Hopefully it makes you realise you were already listening. My live shows are open to everyone, big and small stages.
